Amber Hill

Amber Hill, an Olympic medalist in skeet shooting, has achieved international recognition for her precision and competitive excellence. After becoming the youngest ever winner on the ISSF World Cup series at just 15 in 2013, Amber Hill immediately established herself as a formidable force in skeet shooting. She secured a gold medal at her inaugural career attempt, triumphing over Italy’s Diana Bacosi in a shoot-off and setting a new junior world record. This landmark achievement propelled her to finish the season as the top-ranked senior for Great Britain and fifth globally, earning her the prestigious BBC’s Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

Her talent was recognized early, having been selected for England’s senior women’s team, specializing in skeet shooting, by the age of twelve and coached by Joe Neville at the E.J. Churchill Shooting Ground throughout her career. Hill continued her impressive trajectory with significant milestones in the following years. At the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan, she won a gold medal in women’s skeet, successfully securing an Olympic quota place for Great Britain.

That same year, she further solidified her dominance by winning the World Cup Final in Nicosia, Cyprus. Her Olympic debut came at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where she achieved a commendable 6th place finish. Two years later, Hill earned a silver medal in Skeet at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Her career continued to reach new heights, demonstrating consistent elite performance.
