Keith Cromwell transitioned from a Decorated Lacrosse Athlete and Professional Player to an established Coach and Mentor. After concluding his collegiate career as Rutgers University’s all-time leading scorer with 266 points, 152 goals, and 114 assists between 1998 and 2001, Keith Cromwell went on to establish a decorated professional playing and coaching career in American lacrosse. During his tenure at Rutgers, Cromwell earned three USILA Lacrosse All-American selections, including First Team honors in 2001, and was a two-time team captain. He was also a four-time winner of the William Miller Trophy and received the prestigious Coursen Award for Outstanding Male Athlete from the Rutgers athletic department in 2001.
Cromwell graduated with a degree in Labor Relations, setting the foundation for his continued impact on the sport. Cromwells professional journey commenced in 2001 as the seventh overall pick in the inaugural Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Draft. He quickly made his mark, earning the MLL Rookie of the Year award in his debut season with the Long Island Lizards. His extensive MLL career spanned 12 seasons, during which he also played for the Philadelphia Barrage, contributing to their MLL championship victory in 2004.
His career is marked by a rare combination of record-breaking playing prowess at both collegiate and professional levels, combined with a committed and successful transition into coaching and mentorship.
