Cody Jamieson is a professional lacrosse player recognized for his leadership and performance in the National Lacrosse League. After leading the Six Nations Arrows Express to their first Minto Cup national championship in 15 years in 2007, where he was also named Series MVP, Cody Jamieson went on to establish himself as a dominant force in collegiate lacrosse. In 2008, he had a standout season with the Arrows Express, leading the league in scoring with an impressive 59 goals and 101 points, earning him both the ‘Green Gael Trophy’ as league MVP and the ‘Jim Veltman Award’ as the league’s Most Outstanding Player. Jamiesons exceptional talent was recognized when he was drafted first overall by the Rochester Knighthawks in the 2010 NLL draft, marking the beginning of a decorated professional career.
He completed his tenth season in the NLL in 2020, where he led his Halifax team in points with 59, continuing his legacy as a consistent offensive threat. Currently, Jamieson continues to play professionally for the Halifax Thunderbirds and the Six Nations Chiefs, maintaining his reputation for consistent high-level performance on the field. Beyond his athletic prowess, Jamieson is also committed to community engagement, notably leading suicide prevention workshops for Indigenous youth, leveraging the cultural significance of lacrosse to promote well-being and provide vital support.
