About

Amber Rose Levonchuck was born on October 21, 1983, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She gained initial public attention following her appearance in Young Jeezy’s 2008 music video “Put On” featuring Kanye West. This led to a romantic relationship with West and subsequent modeling opportunities, including for Louis Vuitton and a contract with Ford Models from 2009 to 2010. During this period, she also appeared in music videos for artists such as Ludacris, Young Jeezy, Mary Mary, Nicki Minaj, and Fabolous.

Rose expanded her career into television and business endeavors. In 2010, she appeared in Russell Simmons’ reality show “Running Russell Simmons” and in a PSA for the NOH8 Campaign. She served as a guest judge on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 3 and “Master of the Mix” Season 2 in 2011. That same year, she became a spokesperson for Smirnoff, appearing in their TV ads and billboards. In 2012, she released her debut single “Fame,” featuring Wiz Khalifa, followed by “Loaded.” She co-founded the clothing line Rose & Ono with Priscilla Ono in 2012 and launched her own eyewear line in 2009. Her acting credits include roles in films such as “School Dance” (2014) and “Sister Code” (2015), and television series like “Inside Amy Schumer” (2015-2016), “Black-ish” (2015), and “Selfie” (2014).

In 2015, Rose published her first book, “How to Be a Bad Bitch,” through Simon & Schuster, offering advice and personal anecdotes. She also became a prominent advocate, founding the Los Angeles chapter of the SlutWalk protest march, an annual event focused on women’s empowerment and equality. Her entrepreneurial efforts continued with the launch of the MuvaMoji emoji app in March 2016, which quickly reached number one. Rose hosted “The Amber Rose Show” on VH1 in 2016 and began hosting the syndicated radio call-in program “Loveline” in September of the same year. In August 2016, she joined the cast of “Dancing with the Stars” Season 23, finishing in ninth place.
