Amy Baserga

Amy Baserga established herself as a formidable talent in biathlon, achieving a remarkable six medals at the Biathlon Youth and Junior World Championships. Representing SC Einsiedeln, she notably secured two gold medals at the 2021 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Obertilliach, triumphing in both the 7.5 km sprint and 10 km pursuit events. This followed a bronze medal performance in the 12.5 km individual event at the 2020 Lenzerheide Junior World Championships. Her early international dominance also included significant success at the Youth World Championships, where she earned a gold medal in the 7.5 km pursuit and a silver medal in the 6 km sprint at the 2019 Osrblie event, building on an earlier bronze medal in the 7.5 km pursuit at the 2018 Otepää championships.

Transitioning to senior-level competition, Baserga made her Olympic debut at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. During the Games, she competed in four biathlon events, contributing to the Swiss team’s 8th place finish in the mixed relay. Individually, she demonstrated strong potential with a 39th place finish in the pursuit, 54th in the sprint, and 69th in the individual event. Her consistent progression in the sport was further underscored by earning a bronze medal in the Single Mixed Relay at the 2023 European Championships.
