Andre Brown

Andre Brown was born on December 15, 1986, in Baltimore, Maryland. He played college football for the NC State Wolfpack from 2004 to 2008, where he rushed for 2,539 yards and 22 touchdowns on 523 carries. His senior year in 2008 marked career highs with 767 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. These achievements led to his selection by the New York Giants in the fourth round (129th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft.

Brown’s professional career began with challenges, as he suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon during his rookie training camp in 2009, sidelining him for the entire season. Over the next two years, he had stints with several NFL teams, including the Denver Broncos (2010), Indianapolis Colts (2010), Carolina Panthers (2010), and Washington Redskins (2010-2011), often moving between active rosters and practice squads. He returned to the New York Giants in 2011, initially on the practice squad, and was part of the team that won Super Bowl XLVI in February 2012. He gained recognition for his contributions during the 2012 season, including a 113-yard rushing performance against the Carolina Panthers, before sustaining a broken fibula.

In 2013, after recovering from another leg injury sustained during the preseason, Brown returned to play for the Giants, accumulating 115 rushing yards and a touchdown in his season debut against the Oakland Raiders. He concluded his NFL career with the Houston Texans in 2014, signing a one-year contract before being released later that year. Over his career, Brown played 22 games, recorded 214 rushing attempts for 876 yards, and scored 11 total touchdowns.
