Anita Santos Rubin

Born in Ponta Grossa, Paraná, Brazil, Anita Santos Rubin began her dance training in classical ballet, contemporary, and jazz at an early age. Her early dedication to dance led to international recognition, including a scholarship to the Laban Center in London. This period established her foundational skills and prepared her for a career in diverse dance forms.

In 2000, Anita relocated to Spain and joined the National Ballet of Zaragoza. During her time with the ballet, she performed solo roles and collaborated with notable artists like Rocío Jurado and Francisco Céspedes, expanding her performance experience beyond classical styles. A significant turning point in her career occurred in 2005 when she partnered with Adrián Rodríguez Carbajal, forming the duo ‘Adrián y Anita.’ Together, they achieved widespread international acclaim, including multiple international salsa championships and six Salsa World Champion titles, headlining major dance events in over 50 countries across various continents.

Anita’s career progression demonstrates her versatility as a dancer and choreographer. She has toured and taught extensively, sharing her expertise and passion for dance with audiences and students globally. Beyond her competitive successes, she has become a respected instructor, with over 15 years of experience teaching and inspiring dancers in the salsa community. Her work showcases a fusion of contemporary dance with salsa, offering a unique approach to learning advanced techniques.
