Anna Magnusson, born on March 31, 1995, in Piteå, Sweden, began her biathlon career participating in junior world championships before progressing to senior international competitions. Her debut in the Biathlon World Cup occurred during the 2015–16 season, after which she became a regular member of the Swedish national team. Magnusson has consistently demonstrated her abilities on the global stage, securing numerous podium finishes.
A significant milestone in her career was earning a silver medal in the 4 × 6 km relay at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. She further added to her achievements with multiple World Championship medals, including silver in the 4 x 6 km relay at the 2019 Östersund World Championships and a bronze in the same event at the 2023 Oberhof World Championships. Her first individual World Cup victory came on December 16, 2022, in Le Grand-Bornand, where she won a sprint competition.
