Celtic and Scottish footballing legend – Scott Brown, won the Scottish Premiership a humongous 10 times. Additionally, he won the Scottish Cup and the Scottish League Cup a whopping 12 times combined. During the vast majority of Celtic’s dominance in the top flight, Brown was a fierce captain for the team who was known for his passion, hard tackling and unlimited energy. Due to the heavy influence he had on Celtic’s unbelievable success, Brown was featured in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year a massive six times, and also was awarded the title of PFA Scotland Players’ Player of the Year on two separate occasions.
Brown started his unbelievable career with Hibernian, breaking into the first team in 2002. His single trophy at Hibernian was the 2006–07 Scottish League Cup. Due to his promising performances in that season, Brown won the SFWA Young Player of the Year award. His talent was noticed by Celtic and he signed for a fee of £4.4 million, which was the highest transfer fee paid between two Scottish clubs at the time. Brown won a ton of trophies at Celtic, cementing himself as a true club legend. He also went on to make more European appearances for Celtic than any other player. Brown left Celtic in June 2021, when he signed for Aberdeen and also became part of their coaching staff. When Brown won his 50th cap for Scotland, he was inducted into Scotland’s Scottish FA International Roll of Honour.
