Anne Edmonds

Anne Edmonds quickly established herself as a formidable talent on the Australian comedy circuit, earning both the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Comics’ Choice Award and Director’s Choice Award in 2015. Known for her unique blend of self-deprecating humor and character creations, Edmonds has extensively toured her stand-up across major Australian festivals, including Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Brisbane Comedy Festival, and Sydney Comedy Festival, plus international runs at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and London’s Soho Theatre. Her celebrated character Helen Bidou, an emotionally unstable fashion expert, gained prominence on the ABC comedy series ‘Get Krack!n’, leading to the full-length live performance ‘Helen Bidou: Enter the Spinnaker Lounge’. This show received a prestigious Barry Award nomination, securing the Sydney Comedy Festival Best Show Award and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Best Show Award in 2018.

Most recently, she featured on the 2024 season of ‘Taskmaster Australia’ alongside Langford. Looking ahead, Edmonds is set to host the revived 2025 edition of the iconic game show ‘Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Gen’ on Network 10. She is also slated to star in and co-create the upcoming ABC series ‘Bad Company’ with Kitty Flanagan, projected for release in 2026, marking another significant venture into original television production.
