A Dutch/American singer and actress, Anneliese van der Pol is a performer who’s best known for her appearances in That’s So Raven and Raven’s Home. She has acted in a variety of films and television series and has seen considerable success in theatre productions.
Born in the Netherlands and raised in California, Van der Pol got an early start in the entertainment industry, receiving praise from the Los Angeles Times at just 15 years old. Originally appearing in musical theatre productions, she was then cast in That’s So Raven as Raven’s best friend Chelsea Daniels in 2001. She went on to appear in 100 episodes of the legendary series and was soon recording music for a variety of Disney Channel programs. Van der Pol has acted in several movies, most notably Bratz and Vampires Suck. On television, she has appeared in Shalom Sesame, Friends with Benefits, and Bunk’d.
With past appearances in Meet Me in St. Louis, Wicked, Grease, Oklahoma, and The Nutcracker, van der Pol is also a widely celebrated stage actress. She made her Broadway debut in 2007 as Belle in Beauty and the Beast. She then starred in Vanities: A New Musical in 2008, also singing on its official soundtrack. Her recent acting credits include The Heiress, Emma, The Importance of Being Earnest, Ghostlight, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Annie.
