Dillon Cooper

Dillon Cooper is a Brooklyn-born rapper, guitarist, and influential voice in the action sports community, known for contributing music to various projects and shaping cultural initiatives. After studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston on a partial scholarship from Jay-Z’s Shawn Carter Foundation, Dillon Cooper emerged as a dynamic rapper and guitarist. While at Berklee, he focused on guitar before immersing himself in hip-hop, developing his unique blend of lyrical prowess and musicality. This foundational period culminated in the self-release of his debut mixtape, “Cozmik,” in June 2013.

The project showcased his distinctive style, featuring lyrical content rich with pop-culture references and beats that fused 90s-era New York City rap influences with modern production techniques. The summer of 2013 also saw Cooper make a festival appearance in Germany, after which he partied with Wu-Tang Clan. Cooper quickly became associated with New York’s influential “Beast Coast” movement, a collective of artists including Joey Bada$$ recognized for their lyrical abilities and genre-blending approach. His rising profile led to an feature in Interview Magazine in January 2014.

In 2023, Cooper released his single, “Flow.” Dillon Cooper continues to explore and expand his musical horizons, currently crafting an EP. This anticipated project is set to delve into a wider range of his musical interests, including jazz and R&B, while prominently showcasing his distinctive guitar skills and artistry.
