Timothy Olyphant

Timothy Olyphant earned the Theatre World Award for Outstanding Debut Performance for his stage debut in Playwrights Horizons’ production of ‘The Monogamist’ in 1995. Transitioning to film and television, Olyphant quickly built a reputation for versatile performances, including early roles in ‘The First Wives Club’ (1996) and ‘Scream 2’ (1997). His portrayal of a drug dealer in the cult comedy ‘Go’ (1999) garnered positive critical attention and led to further significant film appearances, such as a detective in ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’ (2000). A pivotal moment in his career was his casting as Sheriff Seth Bullock in HBO’s critically acclaimed western series ‘Deadwood’ (2004–2006), a role that significantly expanded his audience and challenged previous typecasting.

He continued his work in the ‘Star Wars’ universe, reprising the role of Cobb Vanth in ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ in 2022. Additionally, Olyphant was part of the ensemble cast nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture for Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ (2020). Most recently, in 2023, Olyphant returned to his acclaimed character Raylan Givens for the highly anticipated sequel series ‘Justified: City Primeval,’ garnering a Critics’ Choice Television Award nomination for Best Actor in a Drama Series in 2024. Looking ahead, he is slated to star in Noah Hawley’s ‘Alien: Earth,’ set for release in 2025, further expanding his diverse portfolio across acclaimed film and television properties.
