Jarred Christmas is an award winning comedian and performer who has appeared on shows including Mock the Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats.
Born and raised in New Zealand, Christmas often found that he didn’t fit in in school and struggled to make friends. It was only through performing that he found people who were like him, and realised that comedy was his passion. He was part of improvisational troupe The Court Jesters and had some smaller stand ups gigs in Christchurch before moving to the UK in 2003 where his career really took off. Performances at numerous festivals soon followed including Reading/Leeds, Liverpool Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe an Glasgow Comedy Festival, as well as touring with his own shows Jarred Christmas Stands Up and Let’s Go Mofo. Christmas has also made television appearances on some of the most popular TV panel shows in Britain, such as Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Russell Howard’s Good News and One Night Stand. This prolific performer also took part in Let’s Dance for Comic Relief in 2011 and has been named Best Compere at The Chortle Awards twice.
Most recently, Christmas has appeared in advertising campaigns for Pot Noodle, and has continued to appear on television and on the live comedy circuit. He is now one of the most well recognised faces on the UK comedy scene and has fans all over the world.
