Food and wine expert Antoni Porowski is the star of Netflix’s Emmy Award-winning series Queer Eye and is a New York Times Bestselling Author. The self-taught cook brought a lifelong passion for food with him when joined Queer Eye, which won “Outstanding Structured Reality Program” for four consecutive seasons. Porowski and his fellow Fab Five received their very first Emmy nominations in 2020 for “Outstanding Hosts For A Reality Or Competition Program.” His debut cookbook Antoni in the Kitchen went straight into the New York Times’ Best Seller List at #2, and he followed up with Antoni: Let’s Do Dinner in September 2021. Porowski has a huge social media presence with a whopping 4.4 million followers on Instagram.
Born in Montreal, Quebec to Polish parents, Porowski first found fame as an actor working in New York City and appeared in movies such as Daddy’s Boy, Elliot Loves and The Pretenders. Whilst supporting his acting career he worked in various restaurants, starting as a waiter and working his way up to manager of sushi restaurant BondSt. In December 2017 he was announced as the food and wine expert for the revival of popular TV show Queer Eye, and made his debut in February 2018.
Porowski has used his platform to speak as an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights everywhere, and he serves on the board of the Equaversity Foundation which organizes fundraising to support Poland’s LGBT+ community.
