Aparna Shewakramani is a lawyer, television personality and entrepreneur who is often considered the star of Indian Matchmaking on Netflix, due to her feisty personality which led to her being dubbed the most stubborn client on the show. Shewakramani is a full time lawyer who has used her spare time to grow her luxury business My Golden Balloon, as well as authoring her own book about her experience with Indian Matchmaking.

My Golden Balloon attempts to redefine the line between luxury travel and adventure, and offers city guides and small group tours carefully curated. Shewakramani pairs up with other exciting travellers to create the guides that over 6,000 followers are waiting for, including seeing northern lights and city secrets. Aparna Style is another passion project with one-liners from the star on custom t shirts and custom jewelry pieces made up of an elephant bracelet and necklace providing donations to Wildlife SOS and Comp-U-Dopt.

In her spare time, Shewakramani can often be found volunteering for Dress for Success, or cooing over her senior rescue pomeranian named Conan. Shewakramani is always on the go, with her Instagram reflecting her busy lifestyle – from winning awards from Cosmopolitan India, to moving to New York.
