Award-winning bridal designer and Ms Great Britain 2020 April Banbury is one of London’s rising stars. A well-established name in the industry, her couture collection has been showcased twice at London Fashion Week. Banbury also earned recognition after becoming a finalist at Britain’s Top Designer. From first sketches to creating the final dress, Banbury’s design process is a work of art in itself that places each of her client’s personality at the heart of each piece. Whether she’s competing on stage or creating her next masterpiece, Banbury is building a lasting legacy.
Away from fashion, Banbury is a celebrated reality television star. After featuring in ITV2’s The Cabins, Banbury’s heartwarming romance and authentic, charming personality turned her into a beloved household name. With the coronavirus pandemic throwing a spanner in the works, Banbury and her fellow co-stars’ lives on-screen were turned upside down. Banbury’s career in the bridal industry was put on hold, and she became a volunteer at her local COVID testing centre.
Overcoming adversity has helped shape Banbury into the fighter we see today. With her own struggles and experiences with food issues, she is now an ambassador for SEED and Breathe – both eating and mental health charities that offer various support to sufferers and their families. With a range of projects in the works and a potential return to The Cabins, Banbury is one to watch.
