Arjun Gupta

Arjun Gupta made his major film debut in 2009 alongside Uma Thurman in ‘Motherhood,’ setting the stage for a prolific career in television and film. He previously began his professional acting career in 2008 with a role in the TV pilot ‘Redemption Falls’ and a guest appearance in ‘Fringe.’ The same year as his film debut, Gupta achieved a pivotal role when he joined the cast of Showtime’s dark comedy series ‘Nurse Jackie,’ portraying the character of Sam, a substance-addicted nurse. He appeared in three seasons of the critically acclaimed show from 2009 to 2012, contributing to the ensemble’s success which earned a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2012. Following his impactful tenure on ‘Nurse Jackie,’ Gupta diversified his resume with notable roles across film and television.

Further showcasing his versatility and passion for narrative, Gupta co-hosts the ‘American Desis’ podcast, exploring contemporary issues and cultural insights. He also lent his distinctive voice to the character of Nikhil Sharma in the acclaimed podcast ‘Ars Paradoxica,’ beginning in 2016.
