Ashley Greene became a household name when she landed her big break: in 2008, she was cast as Alice Cullen in the Twilight Saga, based off the best-selling series by Stephenie Meyer. The five movies became a cultural phenomenon.

Hailing from Florida, Greene left Jacksonville for Los Angeles when she was just seventeen to become an actress. She started off guest-starring in shows like Crossing Jordan and Mad TV, until she landed her first recurring role, portraying Renata in the telenovela, Desire. But she was thrown into the spotlight upon getting cast in Twilight. Stephenie Meyer said of the actress that Greene was the closest cast of any character that represented her original vision from her novels, and many fans agreed she was perfect for the role, which is why she won four Teen Choice Awards, including “Fresh Female Face,” and “Female Scene Stealer.”

Following her Twilight fame, Greene starred in films like The Apparition, A Warrior’s Heart, and Summer’s Blood. She’d go on to appear in more high profile films, such as Skateland, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and the Oscar-winning movie, Bombshell, acting alongside Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, and Margot Robbie, to name a few. Additionally, she starred in the indie-film, Antiquities, which has a rare 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. As for series, she’s enjoyed prominent roles on shows like Pan Am, Rogue, and Step Up: High Water.

Outside of acting, Greene’s heightened fame opened the doors for modeling opportunities. Not only has she posed in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, but she has been ranked in lists of beautiful women by both FHM and Nylon Magazine. Recognized for her fashion, Greene was recognized with “The Style Icon Award” by Hollywood Life’s Young Hollywood Awards.
