Baker Mayfield

Baker Mayfield is a distinguished NFL quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, recognized for his collegiate Heisman Trophy win and his professional journey marked by leading teams to playoff successes. After leading his high school team to a 4A State Championship in 2011, Baker Mayfield went on to establish himself as a distinguished NFL quarterback. In 2013, as a walk-on at Texas Tech, he made history as the first true freshman walk-on quarterback to start an FBS season opener, earning Big 12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week and Big 12 Conference Freshman Offensive Player of the Year honors. His subsequent transfer to the University of Oklahoma, where he was initially ineligible in 2014, notably led to the establishment of the ‘Baker Mayfield rule,’ allowing walk-ons to transfer within the Big 12 without a loss of eligibility.
