Barbara Eden is an American actress and singer, best known for her starring role in the sitcom “I Dream of Jeannie.” After achieving international recognition for her iconic starring role as Jeannie in the NBC sitcom I Dream of Jeannie, Barbara Eden went on to a prolific career spanning television, film, and stage. Eden began her performing arts training early, studying singing at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and acting at the Elizabeth Holloway School of Theatre. In 1951, she was crowned Miss San Francisco, swiftly moving into television with semi-regular appearances on The Johnny Carson Show in 1955.
