Anthony attended Marina High School in Huntington Beach, California, and later continued her education at Simon Fraser University. She achieved significant success as a freestyle wrestler, securing two Junior World Champion titles and three Pan American Champion titles. Anthony was also the first woman to win four consecutive college national titles, becoming a 4x WCWA National Champion.
