Bella Mir

Born on July 1, 2003, Bella Mir, daughter of former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir, began her combat sports journey at a young age, engaging in kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, and judo from the age of four. Despite her father’s initial preference for her to pursue other paths, Mir showed persistent dedication to combat sports. She is currently a student at North Central College, pursuing a major in Sports and Recreation Management, while simultaneously maintaining a rigorous training and competition schedule across multiple disciplines.

Mir has established herself as a formidable competitor with a 3-0 professional MMA record, showcasing a dominant grappling style with three submission victories. Her wrestling career includes being an NCAA finalist and a two-time NCAA All-American, and qualifying for the U20 & U23 World wrestling teams. In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, she holds a purple belt, is a 2024 IBJJF NoGi World Champion (blue belt), and has secured three IBJJF National championships. Her achievements also include being a 2021 Junior Folkstyle National Champion and a 2022 American National Jiu-Jitsu Champion.

Her career progression highlights include being ranked nationally in the top ten in her wrestling weight class during the 2023-24 season, maintaining an undefeated dual record of 4-0 with 18 points, and winning the 2023 Soldier Salute Champion and 2024 Grand View Open Champion titles. In 2023, she also became the U20 National Champion and the Grand Prix of Spain Champion in wrestling, further solidifying her status as a multi-talented athlete. The UFC recognized her potential early, signing her to its first NIL college athlete contract in January 2023, acknowledging her status as a promising contender in the combat sports world. She aims to achieve a national title in collegiate wrestling, make the senior world team and the Olympic team, and ultimately compete in the UFC.
