Ben Barnes is an English actor and singer, known for his roles in major film franchises and critically recognized television series. After gaining international recognition as Prince Caspian in ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian’ (2008), Ben Barnes established himself as a versatile actor across film, television, and stage. Barnes earned a BA Honours degree in Drama and English Literature from Kingston University in 2004, where he was the first drama student to achieve first-class honours. His professional acting career began in 2006 with a role as Dakin in the stage production of ‘The History Boys’ and his television debut in the series ‘Doctors.’ Following an appearance in ‘Stardust’ (2007), Barnes secured his breakthrough film role as Prince Caspian, a character he reprised as King Caspian in ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader’ (2010).
Simultaneously, Barnes captivated audiences as Billy Russo, later Jigsaw, in Marvel’s ‘The Punisher’ for two seasons from 2017 to 2019. Most recently, Barnes starred as General Kirigan, also known as The Darkling, in the popular Netflix fantasy series ‘Shadow and Bone,’ which ran for two seasons from 2021 to 2023. In addition to his acting endeavors, Barnes has expanded his creative footprint into music, releasing his debut single ’11:11′ in 2021, followed by his debut EP ‘Songs For You’ later the same year. Looking ahead, Barnes is set to star as Tim Jamieson in the upcoming MGM+ series ‘The Institute,’ scheduled for release in 2025.
Further expanding his musical output, his debut full-length album, ‘Where The Light Gets In,’ is also slated for release in 2025.
