Scott Evans is an American actor who first came to the public’s attention playing police officer Oliver Fish in One Life to Live, an ABC soap opera that ran for an incredible 44 years. Evans starred in it for two, appearing in over 100 episodes during a period when the show was awarded two awards from the Directors Guild of America. More recently, viewers will recognise him from the award-winning Netflix sitcom Grace & Frankie. Again playing a character called Oliver, he was a recurring character during the show’s fourth and fifth seasons in 2018 and 2019.
Evans is the younger brother of Fantastic Four actor Chris Evans. Born in Massachussetts to a theatrical family, the younger Evans studied theatre at New York University and made his on-screen debut in 2008 in CBS soap opera Guiding Light. His first notable role came the following year when he portrayed Chad the Mail Clerk in Confessions of a Shopaholic, a rom-com that grossed over $100 million worldwide. Between 2014 and 2016, he was part of Go-Go Boy Interrupted, an LGBTQ sketch show that he produced numerous episodes of and appeared in as himself.
In 2017, Evans stuck with comedy when he appeared in several episodes of VH1’s Daytime Divas, a satirical comedy about what goes on behind the scenes on daytime television. The following year, he joined the cast of Grace & Frankie alongside the likes of Friends star Lisa Kudrow, RuPaul, and Peter Gallagher. He has also recently made guest appearances in several other series, including Into the Dark and Insecure.
