Bianca Walkden

Bianca Walkden is a distinguished Taekwondo athlete, a triple world champion, a four-time European champion, and a double Olympic medalist, known for her strategic approach to competition. After securing a bronze medal at the 2010 European Championships in St. Petersburg, Bianca Walkden swiftly established herself as a formidable force in Taekwondo, going on to become a triple world champion, a four-time European champion, and a double Olympic medalist. Her career gained significant momentum in 2014 when she clinched her first European Championship title in Baku, notably defeating Olga Ivanova.

That same year, she demonstrated unparalleled consistency by winning gold medals at all four World Grand Prix events and secured a record-breaking £52,000 prize at the Grand Slam Series in China. In 2018, Walkden added a silver medal at the European Championships to her growing list of accolades. In May 2019, Walkden cemented her legacy by securing her third World Taekwondo Championship title in Manchester, overcoming Zheng Shuyin in a notable victory. She earned her second consecutive Olympic bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Games, held in 2021, defeating Aleksandra Kowalczuk following a narrow semi-final defeat.
