Bill Cranley

Bill Cranley was born and raised in Plainfield, Illinois, and attended the University of Illinois-Champaign. He later established residence in Lincoln Park, Chicago. Prior to his acting career, Cranley worked in digital marketing for an automotive organization, managing three different dealerships. In this role, he created videos and tutorials for approximately two years. During this period, he also pursued acting and modeling part-time, occasionally declining performance opportunities due to his primary employment. In June 2019, he transitioned away from his full-time marketing position, initially working part-time for the dealerships before fully dedicating himself to his acting career.

Cranley gained public attention in 2020 as a contestant on the Netflix reality competition series “The Circle” (U.S. version). He entered the competition in episode six and was blocked in episode nine. His participation in the show involved unique conditions, including living in isolation in an apartment in Salford, Manchester, UK, with continuous filming and limited external contact. Following his appearance on “The Circle,” Cranley continued to pursue acting roles. His credits include appearances in established television dramas such as “Chicago P.D.” in 2020, where he portrayed Ben Wilcomb, and “Chicago Med” in 2024, appearing as an orderly. He is also involved in an in-development TV series titled “Complete Bull,” in which he is slated to play the character Matt.
