Brad James is an actor whose had many starring roles on television, but is best known for playing Todd in Tyler Perry’s For Better or Worse.
Throughout his career, James has been in over a dozen films, including star-studded pictures like Prisoners (alongside Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal), and Parental Guidance with Bette Midler and Billy Crystal. He’s also appeared in best-selling author, Nicholas Sparks’ film adaption of The Choice, and had the starring role in Comeback Dad. As for his on-screen debut, Champion Road, he played the main role.
Yet, many know James from his time on television. Whether that’s commercials for major companies like AutoTrader.com, BlackBerry, and Walmart, or starring in multiple TV shows, James stays busy. Besides his part in the Tyler Perry series, he’s also played the title role in Osiris, Calvin in Superstition, and Cameran in A House Divided, earning him is very first Emmy nomination. In addition to his starring roles, James has also guest-starred on many shows, such as Meet the Browns, One Tree Hill, Teen Wolf, The Vampire Diaries, NCIS: New Orleans, and countless others. He’s even appeared on Broadway in the show When It Comes Around. It’s diverse roles like these that led the Georgia Entertainment Gala to name James “Best Actor.”
Outside of acting, James has competed three times on Family Feud, and often works as a motivational speaker at camps, schools, acting classes, and more.
