Brad James was born on July 7, 1978, in Georgia, USA. He was raised by his maternal grandparents. Prior to his acting career, James served four years as a U.S. Marine, where he was involved in combat units. During his military service, he devoted time to studying various combat disciplines, including the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, LINE training combat system, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. This background has contributed to his athletic capabilities, often performing his own stunts in films. After his military service, James pursued a career in the entertainment industry.

James gained significant recognition for his role as ‘Todd’ in the television series “Tyler Perry’s For Better Or Worse,” showcasing his comedic acting abilities.
