Bradley Jordan Garmston made his international debut for the Republic of Ireland U17 team in September 2010, making 7 appearances and scoring 2 goals. He subsequently represented the Republic of Ireland U19 squad, earning 11 appearances between 2011 and 2013, before making 4 appearances for the Republic of Ireland U21 team in 2014. Garmston joined the West Bromwich Albion academy in 2012, progressing through their youth ranks and gaining senior experience through loan spells. In February 2013, he secured a one-month youth loan to Colchester United, where his 13 appearances significantly contributed to the club avoiding relegation.
He later moved on a one-month loan to Gillingham in January 2015, where he made 9 appearances and scored one goal. Following his impactful loan spell, Garmston re-joined Gillingham permanently in 2015, signing a three-year contract and becoming a key part of their defense. Over five years with the club, he made 76 league appearances, consistently contributing to the team’s defensive strength. Despite facing significant challenges, including a dislocated knee in 2016 and recurring hamstring issues, Garmston demonstrated remarkable resilience, making successful comebacks and scoring crucial goals while providing vital assists during his tenure.
