Britt Robertson

Brittany Leanna Robertson was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, on April 18, 1990, and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. As the oldest of seven children, she began her acting journey at the Greenville Little Theater. Her early pursuit of an acting career led her to Los Angeles at age 14 with her grandmother, specifically to audition for television roles. This early dedication led to her living independently in Los Angeles by the age of 16, a critical turning point in her professional development. Her initial screen appearances included an episode of ‘Sheena’ in 2000 and a guest spot on ‘Power Rangers Time Force’ the following year. She gained early recognition with a Young Artist Award nomination for her role in ‘The Ghost Club’ (2003).

Robertson’s career progressed with various television and film roles. She played Michelle Seaver in ‘Growing Pains: Return of the Seavers’ (2004) and had a role in ‘Dan in Real Life’ (2007). In 2008, she starred in the Lifetime original film ‘The Tenth Circle’ and had a recurring role in the CBS series ‘Swingtown.’ Her lead roles in mainstream television began with ‘Life Unexpected’ (2010–2011) as Lux Cassidy and Cassie in ‘The Secret Circle’ (2011–2012). These roles were significant for establishing her as a prominent young actress. In films, she appeared in ‘Scream 4’ (2011) and ‘The First Time’ (2012).

The mid-2010s marked a period of notable achievement for Robertson. She joined the main cast of ‘Under the Dome’ (2013–2014) as Angie McAlister. Film roles continued with ‘Delivery Man’ (2013) and ‘Ask Me Anything’ (2014), for which she received the Best Actress award at the Nashville Film Festival. Additionally, she earned the Boston Film Festival Award for Best Supporting Actress for ‘White Rabbit’ (2014). In 2015, she starred in the Nicholas Sparks adaptation ‘The Longest Ride’ opposite Scott Eastwood, and played the starring role of Casey Newton in the Brad Bird-directed science fiction adventure ‘Tomorrowland’ alongside George Clooney. These projects solidified her position in both television and feature films.
