Timothy Palumbo

Timothy Palumbo, born 36 years ago and residing in Buffalo, USA, began his archery career in 2000. He made his international debut in 2013, marking the start of a competitive journey that would lead to significant achievements in para-archery. Guided by coach Randi Smith, Palumbo has established himself as a world medallist, competing across various categories including individual, mixed team, and team events in recurve open men’s and standing divisions. His early dedication to the sport laid the foundation for a successful career, characterized by consistent performance at national and international levels.

Throughout his career, Palumbo has demonstrated sustained competitive excellence. He earned a gold medal in the Team Recurve Open – Men category at the 2019 World Championships and a silver medal in the same category in 2017. His participation in multiple World Archery Para Championships, including in 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022, showcases his enduring commitment to the sport. In 2015, he also competed in the ParaPan American Games in Toronto, participating in the Individual Recurve Open – Men category. His journey reflects a steady progression, adapting and excelling within the demanding environment of international para-archery.

Beyond his athletic achievements, Timothy Palumbo has engaged with the archery community as a Level 3 NTS Coach. He has expressed intentions to pursue a marketing position within a Paralympic organization after graduating from Niagara University, where he studied marketing. This ambition highlights his desire to contribute to the sport beyond competition, leveraging his academic background and vast experience to support and promote para-archery. Palumbo’s influence extends to guiding and inspiring new archers, as evidenced by his participation in events like the 2025 SoCal Showdown, where he secured a gold medal in the recurve open men’s division against emerging talents, further solidifying his role as a prominent figure in the sport.
