Cade Van Raaphorst

Cade Van Raaphorst was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, attending Desert Vista High School where he began to establish himself as a talented lacrosse player. His early career showcased athletic ability, enabling him to gain recognition that led to recruitment at the collegiate level. His strong performance during high school characterized his beginnings in the sport.

He continued his academic and athletic career at Duke University, playing for the Duke Blue Devils men’s lacrosse team. During his time at Duke, Van Raaphorst played in 70 career games, making 56 starts as a close defenseman. He earned national recognition, being named a USILA All-America first team selection twice and a USILA All-American three times. In 2019, he was also named to the All-ACC Academic Team, demonstrating his commitment to both sports and scholarship. After graduating from Duke in 2019, Van Raaphorst transitioned into professional lacrosse.

Professionally, Cade Van Raaphorst joined the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL), initially playing for teams such as the Atlas LC, New York Riptide, and Cannons LC. He has been recognized as a PLL All-Star in 2022. He scored 10 goals and recorded 5 assists over a 50-game career with various teams. Van Raaphorst has extended his contract through the 2024 season, continuing his career as a professional defense man. Beyond the field, he has also been involved in real estate, working as a Senior Associate at Sovereign’s Capital.
