Caitlin Bassett’s early life began on a small horse farm in central Maryland. Following her father’s example, she joined the U.S. Army at the age of 18. During her seven years of service, she worked in Military Intelligence with the National Security Agency, the 10th Mountain Division, and the Special Forces/Joint Special Operations Command, undertaking multiple deployments to Afghanistan and various other locations in the Middle East. Her military background distinguishes her as one of a limited number of combat veterans currently working in the entertainment industry.
After completing her military service, Bassett pursued higher education, attending Brooklyn Law School for two years. She subsequently shifted her focus to performance, graduating from the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City. In 2020, she was selected from 40,000 applicants to participate in the ABC/Disney Discovers Showcase, marking a significant step in her acting career. This led to her debut in acting two years later.
In 2022, Caitlin Bassett secured a co-series lead role in the NBC sci-fi adventure show, “Quantum Leap.” She portrayed Addison Augustine, a character that garnered positive reception from both long-standing fans and new viewers of the series. The show ran until 2024 for 31 episodes. Her acting career continues to progress with an upcoming recurring role on “The Terminal List” alongside Chris Pratt, further establishing her presence in Hollywood.
