Immediately following the events at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in February 2018, Cameron Kasky emerged as a prominent gun control advocate, co-founding Never Again MSD. This student-led advocacy group quickly mobilized, drawing significant media attention for its focus on gun violence prevention. Kasky played a pivotal role in organizing the March for Our Lives, a nationwide student protest held in Washington, D.C., on March 24, 2018. In September 2025, Cameron Kasky indicated a keen interest in pursuing electoral politics, signaling a potential bid in the 2026 Democratic primary for New York’s 12th congressional district.
