Carlos Cuevas

Carlos Cuevas Sisó was born on December 27, 1995, in Montcada i Reixac, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. He began his acting career at age five, appearing in commercials. In 2002, he made his film debut in ‘La mujer de hielo’, followed by work as a dubbing actor for television, radio, and films starting in 2004. His television career commenced with an episode of ‘Trilita’ on TV3. At nine years old, he gained significant recognition in Catalonia for his role as Biel Delmàs in the TV3 series ‘Ventdelplà’, a role he maintained until the series concluded in 2010.

Cuevas expanded into film in 2009 with ‘Cruzando el límite’. In 2011, he took to the stage in ‘Madame Melville’ at Teatre Borràs, performing alongside Clara Segura and Montse Vellvehí. He then joined the cast of Antena 3’s mystery series ‘Luna, el misterio de Calenda’ in 2012, playing Tomás. The same year, he performed in the play ‘Els nostres tigres beuen llet’ at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya. From 2015 to 2018, he starred as Pol Rubio in the popular TV3 series ‘Merlí’, a role that was widely acclaimed, leading to the show being dubbed into Spanish for nationwide broadcast.

His career continued to progress with a minor appearance in ‘El Ministerio del Tiempo’ in 2016, and a leading role as Romeo in ‘Romeo and Juliet’ at Espai La Seca. In October 2016, he joined ‘Cuéntame cómo pasó’ as Marcos. He reprised his role as Pol Rubio in the spin-off series ‘Merlí: Sapere Aude’ from 2019 to 2021, which ran for three seasons. In 2020, Cuevas ventured into voice acting for ‘The Idhun Chronicles’ and appeared in the Netflix series ‘Someone Has to Die’, further demonstrating his versatility. He played Álex in the LGBT-themed romantic comedy ‘Smiley’ in 2022 and Toby in the stage production ‘L’herència’ in 2025.
