American actor B. J. Britt is best known for playing Agent Antoine Triplett in Marvel’s action adventure television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. His character was supposed to be killed off in season 1, but due to Britt’s popularity, he was kept on the show for another season, and returned again in a later season as a virtual version of the character.
Britt was born and raised in Wilson, North Carolina. He made his screen debut in the hit show One Tree Hill in which he played recurring character Devon Fox. He then went on to appear in numerous popular television shows including CSI: Miami, Veronica Mars, The Vampire Diaries, and Cold Case. His other television credits include Dylan in That’s So Raven, Walter Dickerson in Everybody Hates Chris, Justin Merrick in Nikita, Darnell in Sons of Anarchy, Paul Patterson Jr. in Being Mary Jane, and Reggie Mitchella in Behind Enemy Lines. More recently, he was cast as central character Darius Beck in the television series Unreal and as recurring character Will Baker in Pitch.
Although Britt has focused more on television roles, his film credits include Kyle in Victor Salva’s Peaceful Warrior, Haywood Patterson in Heavens Fall, and Antoine in the Twilight parody film Vampires Suck. Britt’s widespread popularity is demonstrated by his huge social media following, with over 88,000 followers on his verified Instagram account and almost 38,000 on his verified Twitter account.
