Caroline Stanton won the 2025-2026 Gatorade National Softball Player of the Year award in Georgia, recognizing her as the nation's No. 1 prospect in her class. The award was presented by softball legend Cat Osterman.

Caroline Stanton is a right-handed pitcher and designated player from Buford, Georgia. Standing at 6-foot-0, she established herself as a top prospect in softball before committing to the University of Florida. Her high school career at Buford High School was marked by significant achievements, including leading her team to a perfect 36-0 record and a Class 6A state title. During her senior year, Stanton maintained a 14-0 pitching record with a 0.35 ERA over 81 innings. She recorded 11 shutouts, including three no-hitters, and finished with a WHIP of 0.49, holding opposing batters to a .097 average. Offensively, she contributed with a .329 batting average, 8 home runs, and 38 RBIs, achieving a .740 slugging percentage and a 1.157 OPS.
Stanton’s talent extended beyond high school, as she was ranked as the nation’s No. 1 prospect in her class by both Prep Softball and Softball America. She also represented USA Softball on the Women’s Junior National Team, where she led the team to a gold medal at the 2025 World Baseball Softball Confederation U-18 World Cup. Her performance at this international event earned her Tournament Defensive MVP honors. Her academic achievements include maintaining a 4.13 GPA, and she committed to play softball at the University of Florida. She reclassified to enroll at Florida early in December 2025, redshirting her freshman year in 2026.
Beyond her athletic and academic pursuits, Stanton is actively involved in community service and leadership roles. She is a member of the Beta Club, participates in a weekly Bible studies group, and is a leader in her school’s chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Stanton also attended the IDEALS Leadership School, a program for student-athletes with demonstrated leadership potential. Her volunteer work includes serving the Feed the Hungry Foundation, providing youth softball instruction, and participating in events such as Happy Feet at Night to Shine and the Buford United Softball Game, which promotes inclusivity in sports.
