English actress Cat Simmons has taken on notable roles on both stage and screen, endearing herself to the British public with a natural flair for performance. Best known for playing the fearless and dedicated Detective Constable Kezia Walker in the award-winning ITV crime-drama The Bill, Cat has also portrayed Scarlett Anderson in the soap opera Family Affairs, Clemmy Staples in Midsomer Murders, and Sista Twista in a modern Romeo and Juliet adaptation, Life and Lyrics. Her stage performances have been no less impressive, with her execution of characters like Nancy in Cameron Mackintosh’s Oliver!, Mary Magdalene in Gale Edwards’ Jesus Christ Superstar, and the Princess in Aladdin placing her alongside legendary greats like Sir Ian McKellen.

Born in Lancashire, England, Simmons trained with the National Youth Music Theatre and Oldham Theatre Workshop, honing acting and vocal skills that would later secure her a place as one of Britain’s best-loved performers. While her most notable singing performance was in Ché Walker and Arthur Darvill’s musical Been So Long, together with soul singer Omar Lye-Fook, she’s also collaborated with the Three Levels on their 2005 track Rock U 2Nite.
