Cecile Ovide

Cecile Ovide, of Martinican origin, is a celebrated salsa dancer. She is known for her performances alongside her partner, Terry Tauliaut. The duo has achieved international recognition for their innovative salsa style, which combines intricate turn patterns with influences from contemporary dance, hip hop, Afro culture, and cha-cha. Their performances and workshops have been presented to audiences around the world. Ovide and Tauliaut’s social dancing videos receive significant viewership on social media platforms, highlighting their musicality and creative approach to dance.

Ovide commenced her dance training at the age of four, studying classical, urban, modern jazz, and contemporary dance forms. She further developed her skills at the Conservatory National de Montpellier. During this period, she developed an interest in Latin dance. She began conducting workshops and subsequently formed a partnership with Terry Tauliaut. In 2007, they jointly established SalsAlianza, which quickly gained prominence as a leading salsa group globally.
