Cecile Ovide

Dancing queen Cécile Ovide is a veteran salsa dancer who has turned heads around the globe performing with partner Terry Tauliaut. The dancing duo has become internationally renowned throughout the dancing world for their unique salsa style, combining intricate turn patterns and creative leads. Their hugely popular shows and workshops are known for their varied mix of dance styles including contemporary, hip hop, afro, chacha and salsa. Ovide has also become well known across social media for her social dancing with Tauliaut, which showcases incredible creativity and musicality.

Now living in Paris, Ovide is of Martinican origin and began dancing when she was just 4 years old. Starting with classical dance, she soon transitioned into urban, modern jazz and contemporary dances and began to hone her craft further after joining the prestigious Conservatory National de Montpellier. Ovide then fell in love with the Latin culture and began training in Latin dances, and was soon good enough to begin teaching classes and workshops where she met Tauliaut. The pair began to dance together and before long Cecile & Terry rose to prominence as one of the most famous and talented salsa couples in the world, entertaining global audiences and thousands online with their powerful and creative routines. Ovide also co-founded dance school ” Salsalienza ” with Tauliaut in 2007, and is in constant demand as a dance teacher and choreographer.
