Chad Dukes

Chad Dukes is a radio personality and podcaster who has hosted various shows primarily in the Washington D.C. area sports talk radio market. After developing the popular ‘Big O and Dukes Show’ at WHFS (99.1) in Washington, D.C., Chad Dukes went on to establish a prominent career in sports talk radio and podcasting. The ‘Big O and Dukes Show,’ which he co-created with Oscar ‘The Big O’ Santana, gained a significant following in its initial night slot.

In 2005, following a format change at WHFS, the program relocated to WJFK/WHFS (105.7) in Baltimore, Maryland, occupying the midday slot. The show evolved to include former Baltimore police commissioner Ed Norris, becoming ‘Ed Norris with Big O & Dukes,’ before Dukes transitioned to co-hosting an afternoon drive sports/talk show on ESPN Radio 1300 AM. In June 2006, Dukes and Santana moved to Phoenix, Arizona, to take over ‘The Phil Hendrie Show’ on KZON, remaining there until June 2007 when KZON shifted its format. They returned to the Washington, D.C., airwaves on July 16, 2007, with ‘The Big O and Dukes Show’ debuting on WJFK-FM in the evening, moving to middays by 2008.

On October 30, 2020, WJFK 106.7 announced Dukes’s termination due to ‘racist and other inappropriate comments’ made on his personal podcast. Undeterred, Dukes launched ‘The Chad Dukes Show’ podcast on January 1, 2021, marking a new chapter in his career as a podcaster and continuing to engage his dedicated fanbase.
