About

Chris Jai Alex, originally from Lansing, Michigan, was born into a musical family. His mother, Gloria Sanford, an aspiring artist, instilled in him a passion for music. Chris Jai taught himself piano, guitar, and midi music production, leading to his involvement in various groups. The most notable was Mirage, which achieved local success and performed alongside artists like Wanya Morris of Boys II Men. After graduating high school, he pursued a career in music production in New York, working under an ASCAP director and a Def Jam Recordings road manager. When this opportunity did not materialize as planned, he returned to Michigan.

Upon his return, Chris Jai and his brother Seyque co-founded Phineqx Entertainment (PE), an independent record label. Phineqx Entertainment became a successful independent label in Lansing, Michigan, with its first release, “PE 2003,” selling over 4,000 copies, and various mixtapes selling more than 47,000 copies. This early success established a foundation for his continued work in entertainment. In the early 2000s, inspired by films like “X2: X-Men United” (2003), Chris Jai Alex relocated to Los Angeles to pursue acting and stunt work. He began formal and informal martial arts training at LA Valley College, which led to training with notable stunt professionals at 8711, a group recognized for its work on films such as “The Matrix” series, “300” (2006), and “V for Vendetta” (2005).

Chris Jai Alex expanded his career into voice acting, signing with Osbrink Agency for Voice Over roles in video games and animation. He also utilized motion capture technology to animate characters through his movements. Throughout his career, he has continued to develop his skills, including learning multiple languages and writing feature-length scripts. His diverse filmography includes acting in projects like “Get the Girl” (2023), “ThunderCats Roar” (2020), “Extraction” (2020), and “This Is Us” (2022). He has also contributed to numerous productions in additional capacities, including ADR work for “Captain America: Brave New World” (2025) and “The Last of Us” (2023), and stunt work for titles such as “Westworld” (2022) and “God of War” (2018).
