Chris Kluwe

Chris Kluwe established a distinguished professional football career, playing eight seasons as a punter for the Minnesota Vikings from 2005 to 2012. During his tenure, Kluwe set eight individual team records, including a career punt average of 44.4 yards and 198 career punts inside the 20-yard line. His athletic prowess garnered him recognition as NFC Special Teams Player of the Month in September 2005 and Player of the Week in 2010, leading to an $8.3-million contract extension with the Vikings in 2007. Prior to his NFL tenure, Kluwe was a USA Today first-team All-American punter in high school, setting an Orange County and CIF Playoff record with a 60-yard field goal, and was a standout collegiate punter at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he earned a double major in political science and history, graduating in 2005, and was a finalist for the prestigious Ray Guy Award.
