Chris Massey

Christopher Michael Massey was born on January 26, 1990, in Atlanta, Georgia. He began his career at a young age, appearing in commercials for brands like Cap’n Crunch and Pop Tarts. His early television appearances included roles in “The Parkers” (1998-2004), “The District” (2000-2004), and “Yes, Dear” (2000-2006). He also guest-starred in an episode of “That’s So Raven” in 2004, alongside his brother, Kyle Massey. In 2002, Massey received the Young Artist Award for Outstanding Young Performer in Live Theatre for his portrayal of Young Simba in Disney’s The Lion King.

Massey gained significant recognition for his starring role as Michael Barret in the Nickelodeon series “Zoey 101,” which aired from 2005 to 2008. The show’s premiere in January 2005 attracted a substantial number of viewers in the 9–14 age demographic and was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Children’s Program the same year. He reprised his role as Michael Barret in the 2015 short film “What Did Zoey Say?” and again in the 2023 sequel film “Zoey 102” released on Paramount+. His film credits also include voice work as Rasta in “The Search for Santa Paws” (2010), and roles in “Mary and Max” (2009) and “Bling” (2016).

In addition to his acting, Massey has been involved in music, both as a performer and a music supervisor. He has performed songs for soundtracks such as “Bling” and “Beneath the Darkness.” He also served as music supervisor for the television series “Accountable” (2019) and the film “Senior Project” (2014).
