Chris Redd

Chris Redd is an Emmy Award-winning comedian, actor, and writer known for his sketch comedy on ‘Saturday Night Live’ and roles in film and television. After joining the cast of NBC’s ‘Saturday Night Live’ as a featured player for its 43rd season in 2017, Chris Redd quickly made his mark, earning a Primetime Emmy Award in 2018 for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for co-writing the acclaimed song ‘Come Back Barack.’ Promoted to repertory status in 2019, Redd’s comedic journey began in 2009 when he transitioned into sketch comedy, honing his improvisational skills at Jokes & Notes in Chicago and as a member of The Second City’s touring company. His early creative work included co-writing ‘The Art of Falling’ in 2014, a collaboration between The Second City and Hubbard Street Dance Company. In 2016, Redd made his film debut as Hunter the Hungry in the mockumentary ‘Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping’, followed by a co-starring role in the Netflix comedy series ‘Disjointed’ from 2017 to 2018.
