Claudia Christian, known for her roles in iconic science fiction series and animated features, has transitioned her long-standing acting career into advocacy and authorship, leveraging her platform for significant social impact. After becoming widely recognized for her portrayal of Commander Susan Ivanova in the Hugo and Emmy Award-winning series Babylon 5 from 1994 to 1998, Claudia Christian built a prolific career spanning over 35 years. Christian made her professional television debut in Dallas in 1984, quickly securing a series regular role on Berrenger’s in 1985. Her film debut came in The Hidden (1987), followed by starring roles in Clean and Sober (1988) and Hexed (1993), where she portrayed Hexina.
On television, Christian holds a recurring role as Captain Elaine Maynard in Foxs 9-1-1 (2018present) and has made guest appearances in popular series such as Criminal Minds, NCIS, Nip/Tuck, and Freaks and Geeks. Beyond her screen work, Christian is a published author of both fiction and non-fiction. She released her memoir, My Life with Geeks and Freaks, in 2007, followed by her autobiography, Babylon Confidential, in 2012. Christian then founded and became CEO of the C Three Foundation in 2013, an organization dedicated to advocating for The Sinclair Method (TSM), a medication-based treatment for alcohol dependence.
