About

Born James Steinke, Cleen Rock One is a professional tattoo artist with over two decades of experience in the tattooing industry. He began his career by owning a tattoo shop in Illinois, which contributed to his early recognition through guest spots and features in various tattoo magazines across the United States. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Chrome Gypsy Tattoo in Las Vegas, Nevada, further solidifying his presence in the tattoo community.

Cleen Rock One gained widespread public recognition in 2014 when he first appeared on the Spike reality series Ink Master. He competed in season 5, where he placed second. He returned for season 7, leading to a significant outcome. His involvement continued in season 11, where he coached a winning team, securing a victory for himself. Following his competitive appearances, Cleen Rock One served as a judge for multiple seasons, including Ink Master: Revenge, and also participated in the spin-off series “Ink Master: Grudge Match.” These roles further established his status within the tattoo industry.

In addition to his established tattoo shops in Las Vegas, Cleen Rock One has expanded his ventures by returning to his home state of Illinois. There, he opened Chrome Gypsy Compound, a multi-faceted establishment that integrates a music venue, bar, restaurant, and tattoo shop. This development marks a progression in his career, blending his artistic and business interests into a comprehensive entertainment and lifestyle destination.
