After being selected as the 13th overall pick in the 1999 NBA Draft, Corey Maggette went on to forge a distinguished 14-year career in the National Basketball Association (NBA), known for his offensive capabilities and leadership. His professional journey began on draft night when he was traded to the Orlando Magic. In his rookie season (19992000), Maggette played 77 games, averaging 8.4 points and 3.9 rebounds.

Following his retirement from professional playing, Maggette transitioned successfully into broadcasting. He served as an analyst for Fox Sports West and Prime Ticket, providing coverage for the Los Angeles Clippers, and later became a college basketball analyst for Fox Sports 1. In 2018, Maggette made a significant impact in the BIG3 league, where he was honored with both the MVP award and the Captain of the Year award after leading his team, Power, to a championship title.
