Cristian De La Fuente

Cristian De La Fuente made his American big screen debut in the 2001 film Driven alongside Sylvester Stallone, following a significant early career in Chilean television that included roles in telenovelas such as ‘Eclipse de Luna’ and ‘La Tía de Carlos’ and hosting variety programs like ‘Venga Conmigo’ and ‘Generación 2000.’ He expanded his work to the United States in 1998, appearing in the drama series ‘Reyes y Rey’ for Sony and Telemundo, and as a guest star on ‘Pensacola: Wings of Gold.’ His early film career continued with appearances in Vampires: Los Muertos (2002) with Jon Bon Jovi, and John McTiernan’s military thriller Basic (2003) opposite John Travolta. For his role in the independent thriller Minimal Knowledge (2002), De La Fuente earned the Individual Achievement Award for Best Male Actor at the Ajijic International Film Festival. De La Fuente continued to expand his presence across American and Latin American productions, securing recurring television roles as Andres Diaz in ‘Family Law’ (1999–2001) and as Sam Belmontes in ‘CSI: Miami’ (2003–2004). Demonstrating his versatility, he also became a prominent host, leading the first annual Premios Juventud in 2004 and co-hosting the Latin Grammy Awards in 2008.

Further showcasing his creative breadth, De La Fuente also took on roles behind the camera, serving as an executive producer and writer for the Chilean reality series ‘Golpe Bajo’ in 2007, demonstrating his comprehensive involvement in project development and execution. Most recently, Cristian De La Fuente has been tapped to play Ricardo De La Cruz in the upcoming 2024 film Switch Up, adding to his extensive and varied body of work as an actor, presenter, and producer in both the US and Latin American markets.
