Curtis Conway

Curtis Conway transitioned from a decorated NFL wide receiver to a respected sports analyst, sharing insights from his extensive career with major sports media outlets. After a distinguished collegiate career at the University of Southern California (USC), which included earning First-team All-American honors and two First-team All-Pac-10 selections (1991, 1992), Curtis Conway was drafted in the first round of the 1993 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. During his time at USC, Conway initially played quarterback before converting to wide receiver in 1991, where he recorded 49 catches for 764 yards and 5 touchdowns in 1992. His exceptional athletic foundation was also evident earlier, achieving a California State Record in the 4x100m relay in 1987 and winning the 100m state title in 1989 with a time of 10.23 seconds.

Conway’s professional career in the National Football League (NFL) spanned twelve seasons, where he played for the Chicago Bears, San Diego Chargers, New York Jets, and San Francisco 49ers. He distinguished himself by achieving over 1,000 receiving yards in three separate seasons. He first surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in 1995 and again in 1996, becoming the first Chicago Bears receiver to record back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. Conway further cemented his legacy as a prolific wide receiver by again achieving over 1,000 receiving yards in 2001.

Demonstrating his continued connection to the sport and its regional appeal, he further served as a studio analyst for the San Diego Chargers network starting in 2015.
