Dana Loesch

Dana Lynn Eaton, born on September 28, 1978, in Missouri, began her career in journalism locally before rising to national prominence. She attended St. Louis Community College and Webster University, studying journalism. Early in her career, Loesch contributed to St. Louis Magazine, where she wrote investigative articles, and launched her website, “Mamalogues.” From 2006 to 2008, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch featured “Mamalogues” as a weekly online column, for which Loesch earned the “Best Newspaper Columnist St. Louis” award from Riverfront Times in 2007. In 2008, she launched her radio show, which became the nationally syndicated program “The Dana Show: The Conservative Alternative” on Radio America.

Loesch continued to expand her media presence, becoming editor-in-chief of Big Journalism, a conservative website founded by Andrew Breitbart, in October 2010. CNN recruited her as a political analyst in February 2011 to contribute to their 2012 election coverage. In 2012, she received Accuracy In Media’s Grassroots Journalism award and was listed among Talkers Magazine’s top 100 “heavy hitters.” In January 2014, Loesch premiered her daily television program, “Dana,” on Glenn Beck’s TheBlaze TV, which ran until November 2017. Her career progressed to include roles such as spokesperson for the National Rifle Association from 2017 to 2019, during which she also hosted “The DL” on NRATV.

Demonstrating her multifaceted career, Loesch has authored three books: “Hands Off My Gun: Defeating the Plot to Disarm America” (2014), “Flyover Nation: You Can’t Run a Country You’ve Never Been To” (2016), and “Grace Canceled: How Outrage is Destroying Lives, Ending Debate, and Endangering Democracy” (2020). Her radio program has experienced significant growth, especially after being picked up by Audacy, Inc. stations, including her original flagship KFTK-FM in St. Louis, following the passing of Rush Limbaugh in 2021. She continues to appear on various television networks providing commentary and analysis.
